Jaithirth Rao

Jaithirth (Jerry) Rao holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the IIM-Ahmedabad as well as the University of Chicago, US. He is a visiting faculty at both the institutions. He has been honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Chicago. He was also the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Mphasis during which time he was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award twice in 2001 & 2004, and the Karnataka State Rajyothsava Award in 2005. In the past, Mr. Rao has served as chairman of NASSCOM. He was with Citicorp for 20 years in various capacities, including the Head of Citibank where he was primarily responsible for building one of the bank’s Asian retail and credit card franchises, apart from working in various parts of the world. He has been an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Harvard Business School and lecturer at IIT, Bombay. He is on the Board of Trustees of the India Foundation of the Arts and of Sujaya Foundation.

P S Jayakumar

P S Jayakumar is currently the MD and CEO of Bank of Baroda. He holds a master's degree in Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, a master's degree in Commerce from the University of Madras, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a Gurukul Chevening Scholar from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1998). Mr. Jayakumar started his career with Citibank in 1986 and has held many senior management positions there, including being country head for Consumer Business in India and Head for Consumer Lending Business in Asia Pacific. During his banking career, spanning 27 years, Mr. Jayakumar has contributed significantly to the development of the retail banking industry in India.

Sakti Prasad Ghosh

Sakti Prasad Ghosh holds a master's degree in Commerce from Calcutta, and a diploma in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management (University of Bombay). His career spans over four and a half decades, starting as a probationary officer (Class I) in Reserve Bank of India and retiring as Executive Director, National Housing Bank (NHB). During his career, he was placed on deputation with Unit Trust of India, National Agricultural Bank for Rural Development (NABARD) and NHB to assist in building these institutions. Mr. Ghosh has been involved with Asian Development Bank (ADB) as Financial Management Specialist-cum-Staff Consultant and was also associated with Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, as nominee of Chancellor and Governor of West Bengal.

Manoj Viswanathan

Manoj Viswanathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from BITS, Pilani and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur. He possesses experience of more than 18 years in consumer lending, encompassing sectors such as automobile loans, mortgages, and unsecured lending. He is considered to have played an important role in building the branch-based consumer-lending model for Citigroup in India. He is the CEO of Home First Finance Company.

Sujatha Venkatramanan

Sujatha Venkatramanan is a MBA in Finance & Marketing and a B.A. (Honours) in Economics from Delhi University. Ms. Venkatramanan has been a seasoned retail banking professional for over 20 years, with proven ability to manage portfolio risks across 14 countries, ranging from the Indian subcontinent and Middle East, to highly volatile Turkey and 'Emerging Europe'. She brings extensive hands-on experience in credit risk strategy and management across the retail lending landscape, covering mortgages, commercial real estate lending, credit cards, personal loans, overdrafts, auto, margin lending, business lending, purchase of securitized portfolios and structured products. She has worked for 18 years with Citibank in various leadership roles across the globe, then as Head, Risk Advisory for Kairoleaf Analytics (part of the listed AurionPro Solutions group) and is now an independent consultant in the banking and risk advisory arena.

Santhanam Rajagopalan

Rajagopalan joined TrueNorth way back in 2008 as a Managing Director. He is responsible for the smooth functioning of the finance and treasury function across portfolio companies. He also guides the Fund Management team in structuring investments and exits, in a way that is tax efficient and compliant with applicable regulations. Rajagopalan is a Bachelor of Commerce and a qualified Chartered Accountant with nearly 18 years of operational experience in accounting, finance and treasury management, having worked with Monsanto and ITC Ltd in India. His achievements include ideation and implementation of tax optimized cash utilization structures, the consolidation of legal entity structures, critical support in implementing a business acquisition and sale of three non-core business lines.

Rajiv Sabharwal

Rajiv is a Partner with TrueNorth and is based in Mumbai where he is involved in building and managing businesses primarily in the financial services sector. An MBA from IIM, Lucknow and an alumnus of IIT, Delhi, Rajiv has over 26 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining True North, Rajiv was an Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Bank where he was responsible for several businesses including retail banking, business banking, rural banking and financial inclusion business. Prior to this, Rajiv has had successful stints with Sequoia Capital, Godrej Group, SRF Finance, GE Capital and Times Bank.

Divya Sehgal

Divya joined True North in 2010. He is based in Mumbai and is responsible for investments in and scaling up of businesses in the Financial Services and Technology sectors. Divya holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Delhi and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Bengaluru. Prior to joining True North, he was Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Apollo Health Street, a leading healthcare outsourcing firm and one of the top five in its space globally. Before that he worked as a consultant with McKinsey, with the corporate finance team at ANZ and as an entrepreneur at Emedlife, one of the first corporate healthcare advisory firms in India that eventually merged with the Apollo Group.

Maninder Singh Juneja

Maninder joined True North in 2016 and is based in Mumbai where he is involved in building and managing businesses primarily in the financial services sector. An MBA from IIM Lucknow, Maninder has over 17 years experience in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining True North, Maninder was the group Head for ICICI Banks Retail Banking group, covering Strategy, Products, Small Business Loans, Branch Banking and distribution channels. Prior to this, he started his career with Godrej as a Branch Manager and has worked with Godrej GE Appliances and GE Transportation financial services.

Aakash Goel

Aakash Goel is vice president with Bessemer Ventures Partners in India, and focuses on mobile, internet and software investment sections of the firm. He has 13 years of experience across the fields of investing, consulting and entrepreneurship. He currently serves on the boards of Remedinet, HFFC, NetAmbit and is closely involved in the firm's investments in Hungama.com, MediAssist and Anunta Technologies. Aakash joined Bessemer from Sequoia Capital where he focused on investing in consumer internet and payments. Prior to Sequoia, Aakash helped launch a fashion e-commerce company, as a co-founder of the e-commerce venture. Previously he worked with McKinsey & Co serving clients across India and North America in Technology, Outsourcing and Financial Services sectors where he helped clients on issues related to business scale-up/growth, market-entry/strategy, operations transformation, post-merger integration/turn-around, Capex/Opex right-sizing. Aakash holds a B.S. from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Calcutta and was awarded a merit scholarship at both the institutes for academic excellence. Aakash is a trained private pilot and an avid mountaineer. A little known fact about him is that he has trekked up to the Everest Base Camp.
