At HomeFirst, we see ourselves not just as a service but as a community. A family which includes not just our branches and employees but also our customers who we guide in building their dream home. These last few months, due to the lockdown, we have been missing our friends who are unable to visit us and instead operate through our HomeFirst Customer Portal. The months of February and March, however, brought great respite to all of us feeling bored at our homes when BCCI announced the India vs England Cricket Series. Four Test Matches and 5 T2OIs were scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad, one of our favorite locations where so many of our branches and customers are located.
We sensed an opportunity here to share the enjoyment and passion of cricket with our community. As a result, HomeFirst decided to become a sponsor for Ind vs England Test and T20I Series. It is for the first time that we have taken part in such a mass-level event. As the Indian Cricket Team entered the Motera Stadium to take on England, HomeFirst boards greeted them and all the TV viewers to the game, cheering the team on to win the match. As the series progressed and the event unfolded before our eyes, we made it a point to make our support for the team visible. So much so that you can also spot the HomeFirst logo smiling in the background of the official photograph of the Indian Test Team.
Watching the match with tasty popcorn and our phones beside us, we shared the highs and lows of the matches with our customers through stories and posts on our social media channels. We took the friendly banter and interaction further by launching a social media competition called HomeFirst T20 Contest to see how much India really knows its cricketing stars. Boy was we amazed! HomeFirst T20 Contest received a humongous response from all across the country. Truly cricket is more than just a sport for India, it is a religion. From the thousands who took part in the contest, five lucky winners were awarded an autographed photograph of the Indian cricketing stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli along with some special HomeFirst goodies.
It is indeed a matter of great pride for us to support Team India on such a large platform and to be featured in the Indian Cricket Team’s squad photograph. We are proud of making such an ambitious effort to support India’s most loved game. With the grand visibility and genuine engagement this sponsorship has brought us from all over the nation, it truly has been a successful endeavor. We hope to celebrate many more wins with the Indian Cricket Team and take this partnership to greater heights in the future.
